Can I Fly with My CBD?

Flying with CBD?

Taking a trip sometime soon? Are you wondering whether you’ll be able to fly with your favorite CBD product on your upcoming trip? Whether you enjoy a daily CBD gummy, like to use CBD creams on your skin, or prefer using CBD oils, CBD can become an essential part of your daily routine.

Travel already disrupts daily routines enough, do you have to forgo your CBD while you are traveling? The answer to this question depends largely on where you are going. We know that the CBD laws in the United States are far from uniform. If you’re traveling whether by air or by other means, you will want to make sure that you are compliant with all local laws and regulations regarding CBD.

Let’s explore everything you will need to know before you get on a plane with your CBD products.

Can I Bring My CBD to the Airport?

If you are flying domestically in the United States, you can bring most of your CBD products on your trip. However, there are some products you will not be able to bring according to TSA guidelines. The CBD products you cannot fly with are ones that contain more than .3 percent THC content

The vast majority of CBD products will contain 0 to .3 percent THC, but you could have a product that contains more THC than this. If that is the case you will not be able to fly with it in the United States.

Now if your CBD product is going to be in your carry-on bag you will need to conform to the TSA’s other regulations and policies regarding liquids or creams. You won’t be able to bring more than 3.4 ounces of liquid, and all of your creams must be placed in a clear bag per TSA policy.

Can I Fly Internationally with CBD?

Flying to foreign countries with CBD products can be a little more complicated. The laws regarding CBD vary drastically from country to country. Some countries allow products with THC content up to .6 percent while others don’t allow CBD products at all.

If you are going to a different country, it is best just to play it safe and leave your CBD products at home. If CBD is legal where you are going, you can likely get a product from a local vendor to avoid any possible confusion and trouble.
