Pure CBD isolate powder is the simplest form of CBD there is: a fine white powder that is almost 100% cannabidiol. It has no THC, no flavor and no added ingredients. That simplicity is why people choose it. You know exactly what you're taking, and you can add it to almost anything.
CBD isolate is cannabidiol (CBD) separated from everything else in the hemp plant. That means other cannabinoids, terpenes, plant waxes, chlorophyll and THC are all removed. A high-quality isolate tests at 99% CBD or higher. Experience CBD pure CBD isolate powder tests at 99.98% CBD with non-detectable THC.
You'll see it sold under a few names:
Chemically they're the same thing. Only the texture differs.
Because the THC is removed rather than diluted, a properly made isolate tests at non-detectable THC.
Not every "pure" isolate is what the label says. Before you buy, open the product's certificate of analysis (COA) and check four things:
| What to check on the COA | What you want to see |
|---|---|
| CBD content | 99% or higher |
| THC (Delta-9 and total) | ND (non-detectable) |
| Residual solvents | Pass |
| Heavy metals and microbials | Pass |
Also confirm that the COA comes from an independent third-party lab and that the batch or product name matches what you're buying. You can see our lab reports here.
Isolate is almost pure CBD, so the weight of the powder is the dose: 25 mg of powder is about 25 mg of CBD. That makes measuring simple if you have the right tool.
Start with a small amount, see how you feel, and adjust gradually. CBD can interact with some medications, so check with your doctor first if you take any.
Add it to coffee, tea, a latte or a smoothie. CBD is fat-soluble, so it blends best in something with a little fat, like milk, nut butter or coconut oil. It has no taste, so your drink stays the same.
Warm 30 ml of MCT oil gently (warm, not hot), stir in the isolate until it dissolves completely, then let it cool and store it in a dropper bottle.
Mix it into dressings, sauces, honey or frosting after cooking. For baked goods, mix it into the fat (butter or oil) first and choose lower-temperature recipes. High heat can degrade CBD.
CBD crystals can be vaporized in a dab rig or a concentrate vaporizer. Lower temperatures give a smoother hit. Never heat it with an open flame until it burns.
Add a little isolate to a lotion or an existing tincture to raise its strength without changing its flavor or scent.

Keep it in its sealed jar, somewhere cool, dry and dark, away from heat and direct sunlight. Moisture causes clumping, so always close the lid tightly and use a dry scoop.
Hemp-derived CBD with non-detectable THC is legal under federal law. New federal rules starting December 11, 2026 cap hemp products at 0.4 mg of total THC per container. THC-free isolate isn't the target of that change, but some states set their own rules. Check Hemp Laws By State before ordering.

It's a fine white powder or small white crystals, with no smell and no taste.
Not well. CBD is fat-soluble, so mix it with oil, milk or another source of fat first.
Yes. Both are 99%+ pure CBD. Crystals are just larger pieces.
No. CBD isn't intoxicating, and a pure isolate contains no THC.
